SIMetrix Technologies has released an update to SIMetrix/SIMPLIS 8.20. This product families provide professional circuit design and simulation tools for analog and power electronics engineers. SIMetrix and SIMetrix/SIMPLIS Version 8.20 Change Log The following lists the changes to SIMetrix and SIMetrix/SIMPLIS for the Version 8.2 release. The SIMetrix/SIMPLIS Intro and SIMetrix Intro are free versions of the program with no license or copying restrictions. Virtually all features are enabled but a circuit size limit applies. The limits for the demo versions are generous enough for them to be used for real work and we are happy for users to do so. SIMetrix/SIMPLIS Elements SIMetrix/SIMPLIS Elements is a free-to-download version of our software that offers full schematic capture and waveform viewing / analysis capability along with a host of documentation and training materials designed to help users get up-to-speed quickly with SIMetrix/SIMPLIS' simulation capabilities.

SIMetrix Classic - the core upon which all the other product versions are based. Combines a fast and accurate SPICE simulator with a complete devlopment environment including schematic capture, a waveform viewer, a model library and scripting support.
SIMetrix Pro - Builds on SIMetrix Classic. Adds Verilog-A and Verilog-HDL support to SIMetrix SPICE, includes basic IC design features (BSIM3, binning, etc.) and enables multi-core support for up to four cores.
SIMetrix Elite - Extends SIMetrix Pro. Adds advanced IC design features (BSIM4, PSP, Hicum), real-time noise analysis and enables multi-core support for up to sixteen cores.
Product Addons
DVM: The Design Verification Module - Allows a user to run a design schematic through a large batch of simulations, record the measured results and automatically generate a test report detailing the circuit's performance. DVM can be added to any of the above products.
SIMPLIS VH: Verilog-HDL Co-simulation with SIMPLIS - Enables Verilog-HDL Co-simulation with SIMPLIS. SIMPLIS VH can be added to SIMetrix/SIMPLIS Pro or SIMetrix/SIMPLIS Elite.

    Simplis Simetrix Simulation Training Course

    SIMPLIS Tutorial - The SIMPLIS tutorial is intended to help new users get started with the SIMPLIS simulator and to serve as a general reference for SIMPLIS. The tutorial follows the progression of a buck converter design from first constructs to a final, parametrized, hierarchical design.

    Learning SIMPLIS - A structured experience in which a capable and willing engineer can come up to speed with SIMPLIS in four (full-time) weeks. At the conclusion of the experience, the engineer will be confident that they will be able to competently apply SIMPLIS to appropriate switching power supply modeling objectives.

    DVM Tutorial - The DVM Tutorial guides a user through configuring a working schematic to run in the Design Verification Module, run built-in test plans and customize them. A host of other, more advanced, topics is covered as well, including schematic and component modification and test configuration.
